Oprah Winfrey is yet another big name in the hosting industry. Almost everyone knows about her self-titled talk show that ran from 1986 until 2011. She has an impressive $3.5 billion fortune today, but money was something she didn't always have.

She grew up in poverty and had to study and work hard to make a better life for herself. Everything worked out for her, and she even has a network already! Being a media executive, producer, and actress makes her a whopping $300 million annually. In 2020, Winfrey launched a new interview show on Apple TV+ titled Oprah Talks COVID-19.

Ellen DeGeneres, NBC - $490 million

When talking about TV hosts, a name you will always hear is Ellen DeGeneres' name. She is one of the most popular hosts in the world, and her annual salary is at a whopping $75 million. Her total wealth, as we speak, is $490 million.

Her talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, continues to air after seventeen seasons. She wasn't always a TV host, though, for she started as a stand-up comedian and actress. She got to star in two sitcoms titled Ellen and The Ellen Show. DeGeneres has been open about being a lesbian since 1997, and she's happily married to actress Portia de Rossi.

Steve Harvey, ABC - $200 million

With such a charming personality, Steve Harvey has a face that people love seeing on their TV screens. He's a successful host, but he also succeeded as a businessman and comedian. Sources estimate his fortune to be at $200 million these days.

Some of the shows Harvey is most known for are Family Feud, Celebrity Family Feud, and The Steve Harvey Morning Show. He has also been hosting the annual Miss Universe pageant. Harvey is producing a Think Like a Man TV series, which is an adaptation of his book under the same title.

While the legal program is still on the air, the 68-year-old has been busy with other commitments too. Brian Williams, MSNBC - $40 million

Jay Leno might not be an active late-night talk show host anymore, but he's well known for the run he had with The Jay Leno Show and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Thanks to his $450 million fortune, he was able to give himself and his wife a beautiful life.

When you get to host a late-night talk show for more than three decades like David Letterman, then you will surely be able to accumulate an impressive fortune. As of today, his estimated wealth amounts to $400 million.

Late Night with David Letterman was the first show he hosted in the '80s, and he ended his late-night career with the CBS show, Late Show with David Letterman. Just because he isn't accompanying you in your late nights doesn't mean he's ended his hosting career, though. Craig Ferguson, CBS - $30 million

Craig Ferguson did such an incredible job hosting the game show called Celebrity Name Game that he won a Daytime Emmy Award twice. Some of you might also know him for the nine years he spent hosting the late-night show called The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

As of today, sources estimate Ferguson's wealth to be at $30 million. Hosting makes him happy indeed because he makes as much as $8.5 million in a single year. Carson Daly looks like he was born to be a host because aside from a fantastic voice, he has such a friendly and charming face. In the early 2000s, he worked as an MTV VJ and a radio DJ. He later got hired by NBC and hosted the show called Last Call with Carson Daly.

Whoopi Goldberg, ABC - $60 million
