You may recognize John Astin for playing Gomez Addams in the original The Addams Family in the 60s. He was also in the West Side Story when it was adapted for the movies. John has continued to act until the late 90s and has taken on a couple of minor roles in the last decade.

It is only natural for someone with such a high level of expertise in the subject to pass on their knowledge to the next generation. Thus, he has been teaching theatre at his alma mater for the past two decades. Furthermore, he is more focused on his Buddhism practice, which he credits for his peaceful retirement.

Joe Pesci - Now 79 Years Old

Hollywood actor Joe Pesci is very versatile as he can play challenging gangster roles effectively and also be hilarious when need be. Some of his famous gangster characters were in the movie Goodfellas and Casino, while his comedy roles are simply unforgettable in Home Alone 1 & 2.

Delta Burke - Now 65 Years Old

Delta Burke tried her hand at beauty pageants first before joining Hollywood. At 18 years old, in 1974, she was crowned Miss Florida which made her the youngest ever to hold this crown in pageant history. Burke starred first in the shows The Chisholms, Filthy Rich, and First & Ten.

In 1986, she appeared as Suzanne Sugarbaker, the primary character in the sitcom Designing Women. For her performance, Burke was nominated for two Emmy awards. Delta is also renowned for her roles in shows including Delta, Women of the House, and DAG. Burke is now 65 and keeps herself busy these days by attending to her New York-based clothing company, Delta Burke Design.

James Earl Jones - Now 91 years old

James Earl Jones is considered one of the greatest actors in American history, not just in films but also on stage. It's not only because of his acting skills Jones is prominent but also for his one-of-a-kind 'basso profound' voice. James is also an Emmy award winner for his impeccable performance in Gabriel's Fire.

Billy Dee Williams — Now 85 years old

American actor and musician Billy Dee Williams was forever immortalized in the role of Lando Calrissian in the long-running Star Wars film series, ever since he appeared in the 1980s, The Empire Strikes Back. He is known to be a talented musician too, who even has a Jazz album to his credit. 

His latest acting project was the 2019 movie Star Wars: Episode IX, in which he reprised his famous role of Calrissian once again. He was also highly active on television from 2000 to 2010. His most notable roles were in the Scrubs, The 70s Show, Lost, White Collar, and The Boondocks.

Inge Ginsberg - Now 99 years old

Inge Ginsberg is far from any regular 99-year-old lady you have ever met. She is the singer in the lead position of a metal band called Inge and the Tritone Kings. The band went on to become famous overnight as they auditioned for America's Got Talent and Switzerland's Got Talent. 

As she is known, Metal Granny hasn't had an easy life growing up in a Jewish family in Austria. Her family had to sell off their jewels to be able to escape the Holocaust and stop in a refugee camp in Switzerland. If they ever made a Hollywood movie on Inge's life, it would indeed become a massive hit.

 Shirley Jones - Now 88 years old

Actress and singer Shirley Jones's most famous role was as Shirley Partridge in the hit T.V. musical show, The Partridge Family. But before that, she found success in films, such as the musicals Oklahoma!, The Music Man, and Carousel. When she acted in The Partridge Family, she was cast alongside David Cassidy, her real-life stepson with her then-husband, actor Jack Cassidy. 

She has always been popular for her beauty as she was crowned Miss Pittsburgh in 1952. In 1986, she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on February 14. Jones is currently enjoying her retirement at 88 years old. 

Jerry Lee Lewis – Now 86 years old

Jerry Lee Lewis is the rock and roll musician behind hits like Great Balls of Fire, Good Golly Miss Molly, and Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On. His career, however, suffered a setback in the late 50s, not because of substance abuse but because it was discovered that he had taken his 13-year-old first cousin as his third wife. 

This led to him being blacklisted for some time. However, his career and bank account bounced back soon enough, and he was back to producing hits for the next few decades. The single Invitation to Your Party from his album The Golden Cream of the Country, released in 1969, restored his fame.

Buck Taylor - now 83 years old

Actor Buck Taylor is best recognized for his role as Deputy Newly O'Brien in the very popular Western-themed TV series Gunsmoke. Apart from being an actor, Taylor is also a skilled painter, with his favorite subject being the American West. 

He has painted posters that have been used for Texas Rodeos. Taylor has retired from acting and currently lives with his wife in Fort Worth, Texas. He continues to attend annual shows and events, such as the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo to promote Western heritage through his paintings. Along with several of his Gunsmoke actors, Taylor has a plaque on the Walk of the Western Stars in California.

Barry Manilow - Now 78 Years Old

Barry Manilow may have crooned that he Can't Smile Without You, but the singer, musician, composer, and producer smiles a lot, especially whenever he is on stage, performing his hit songs at sold-out concert venues and private performances.

Glynis Johns - Now 98 years old

Veteran actress Glynis Johns was blessed with many talents in the entertainment world - she can sing, dance, act, and play the piano. She is renowned for her deep blue eyes and a husky voice, an identifiable quality of hers. At the young age of 13, she made her film debut in 1938 in Winifred Holby's novel South Riding film adaptation. 

Johns is best remembered for playing Winifred Banks in Walt Disney's Mary Poppins. Two of the actress' last appearances on screen were in the films Superstar and the Sandra Bullock starrer, While You Were Sleeping. Glynis has since retired after appearing in Superstar in 1999. 

Bob Barker — Now 98 years old

Bob Barker is one man on this list who needs no introduction, having been the host of The Price is Right from the show's inception in 1972 to its last episode in 2007. Not only that, but he was also a staple in beauty pageants like Miss U.S.A. and Miss Universe for at least 20 years.

In 2017, he made headlines when he slipped in his home, which required treatment as Bob is now 98 years old. After his official retirement from the show, he appeared as a guest to promote his book Priceless Memories. He appeared on the show again to celebrate his 90th birthday.

Morgan Freeman — Now 84 years old

Of course, Morgan Freeman needs no introduction as he is still a very popular and immensely bankable actor to this day. Most people don't know that he started acting in the early 70s in Who Says I Can't Ride a Rainbow?

Later on, moving to more prominent roles in The Shawshank Redemption, The Sum of All Fears, and Million Dollar Baby, for which he won an Academy Award. He reportedly has a net worth of $250 million at present but considering that he's still very active at age 84, it's safe to assume that this will continue growing in the future.

Max Baer Jr. - Now 84 years old

Max Baer was so good at playing Jethro Bodine, the dimwitted nephew of Jed Clampett on the widely popular T.V. show The Beverly Hillbillies, that Hollywood couldn't see him in any other role.

He found it extremely problematic to find work after the show wrapped up, and he had to write, star, and produce a movie called Macon County Line with a friend. Not a bad gamble, considering his bank account was replenished, as the film earned $35 million at the box office! His other box office hit was Ode to Billy Joe, directed and produced in 1976. His last directorial project was Hometown U.S.A. in 1979.

Marion Ross - Now 93 years old

Marion Ross' career may have been focused on television when she was older, but let's not forget she is still one of the last remaining stars of Hollywood's Golden Age, having worked with legendary stars like Ginger Rogers, William Holden, James Stewart, Audrey Hepburn, and Humphrey Bogart among others. 

However, it really cannot be denied that she is best remembered today as Marion Cunningham or Mrs. C, Richard Cunningham's mother, in the ABC TV sitcom Happy Days. Ross was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Evening Star. Ross has recurrent roles in The Drew Carey Show and Gilmore Girls.

Al Pacino - Now 81 Years Old

Al Pacino has been globally regarded as a superstar ever since he portrayed Micheal Corleone in 1972's superhit crime movie The Godfather. Thanks to its massive success, the actor got the chance to reprise his role in the sequels as well, and his work made it to the list of best screen performances in the history of cinema.

Anthony Hopkins - Now 84 Years Old

As movie lovers, we all should be thankful to Hollywood for giving us talents who entertain us with their stellar on-screen performances. Anthony Hopkins is one such actor who has been a regular in the film industry since the 1970s.

Some of his exceptional works include The Remains of the Day, Amistad, and The Silence of the Lambs, through which the audience witnessed his versatility.
